  • A Short History of (Mostly English) Immigration

    2024-08-15

Well, it depends how far back you want to go...

For the purposes of this article we'll skip over the idea that the "original" immigrants may have been the Trojans, and concentrate on the very recent post WW2 period - a period roughly corresponding with my lifetime, so I know a bit about it.

Not as much however as Andrew Collingwood, who takes us expertly through to the present day on the Daily Sceptic.

  • Mr Bean Risks Upsetting the Guardians

    2024-08-13

    The guardians of what?

Well, that's my point, and one suspects, his point too.

Sadly he may be deploying the wrong weapons in appealing to reason and logic - today's war on the people is waged by the deployment of ill-defined labels, the pressing of similarly ill-defined "hot buttons", and the stoking of unthinking emotions to boiling-point.

Still, it's good for us old-fangled folk to know that there are still those for whom calm reasoning, a logical approach, and a careful exposition of the argument are practices appropriate for public discourse.

    Let's hope for a revival!

  • A Brief Canter Through British History ...

    2024-08-10

A splendid visual review in 3 parts of some of the high points of our constitutional development, up to around the interwar years (and inevitably omitting much else besides).

I look forward to parts 4 onward in due course (!) with enthusiasm, as I feel certain that we cannot ignore our excursion into the EU (and eventually kind-of out of it again), not to mention the pivotal role that we played in world affairs in 20th/21st centuries, nor I suspect can we ignore the implosion of the USA and the resulting fall-out across the globe.

But let's start somewhere near the beginning... Part 1:

    2024-08-08

This video is a bit - well - "American"!

It takes a long time to get started, and being American, the good Doctor tends (to our English ears) to shout a lot, and you have to get past the intros and the "message from our sponsor" etc, but if you can stick with it, his essential message of pH balance is the message that got me out of health troubles twenty odd years ago (I read his book "The pH Miracle" as mentioned, and never looked back. Seriously!).

Even if you can't hack the video, do try the book. It's simple enough.

Another useful book which presents more or less the same basic material (but with vastly more detail) from a different perspective is "Healing is Voltage" by Dr Jerry

  • Brush Up Your (Kids') Critical Thinking

    2024-07-29

Critical thinking skills have never been less adopted, and my guess is that they have never been more needed.

    So what is critical thinking?

It is presumably the ability to distinguish the truth from the falsehoods and indeed outright lies that infest our modern media.

"Lies?" I hear you challenge? Surely the media doesn't lie to us?

Well, they can certainly be economical with the actualité...

Indeed, the more scrutiny one subjects an article to, the less complete it inevitably appears to be.

And what about the censorship? Such as the way that the BBC "forgot" to report the massive lockdown demonstrations numbering in the tens of thousands that took place right outside Broadcasting House... yes, I was there, and they didn't report it.

OK, that's an extreme example, but

  • Lessons Will be Learned ... But When?

    2024-07-29

The Covid Enquiry exemplifies the obdurate insistence by government that the government is always right and even when it is wrong it will "learn the lessons".

Except that even on the rare occasions that it does actually identify the correct lessons, it doesn't learn from them.

Martin Livermore for the GWPF reviews the history of lesson avoidance and suggests that fostering competition for the achievement of "broad top level goals" would be a better approach.

But who is to say the such "broad top level goals" would be the correct, even the most useful goals?

Or that the the government's invariable willingness to subsidise its own ideas (to "get them off the ground") would always turn any provider's attention away from making a profit by serving the customer, and towards maximising the

  • A Reasoned Introduction to Your Personal Universe

    2024-07-26

Aussie Paul Wallis introduces us to his exploration of ancient history and texts (including but not limited to the Bible and those of ancient Sumer) and what they may portend for our current and future world.

Interestingly he says that he has reached his own conclusions from his own research, and has not relied upon the research of others - even so his conclusions do parallel the conclusions of others to a significant extent.

And what relevance may these have to the infamous black projects of modern American times that reputedly harbour hidden technology from those ancient times?

As a level-headed (as opposed to a religiously dogmatic) approach to the mystery of how humanity originated, I find this approach encouragingly accessible.

  • Spiritual War Out in the Open

    2024-07-23

As the covert battle for world domination seems to be approaching some sort of climax, it's  nevertheless hard to see how it will end in any kind of tidy fashion. From the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, to the implosion of the Biden Pretendency, through the obscure state of the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, the ever less convincing and unelected government of the EU Commission, and the continuing evolution of eastern nations into the formidable union of the BRICS, the signs of change are unmistakable and everywhere.

Beneath these affairs of state, the state of affairs for the ordinary citizen does not progress well either, but is in various stages of latent and in some cases overt turmoil as citizenry of all stripes come to terms with the notion that governmental agencies of all kinds are not after all there for our benefit, or if they are, then they are failing in their most basic functions.

Our politicians are controlled by others, our legal system is incomprehensibly byzantine,

  • New Climate Peril - World's Deserts may be Shrinking!

    2024-07-21

The Daily Sceptic reports that due to an excess of CO2, previously arid areas of the planet may be lost to vegetation.

So in addition to all the other perils of CO2, we must now consider the shrinkage of arid areas of our landscape due to the unwanted encroachment of green vegetation.

Clearly there is no time to be lost - these deserts must be covered in solar farms immediately in order to prevent further loss of habitat for desert-dwelling fauna and stop further combustion of carbon-based fuels.

We have featured a few articles recently by : POSTMASTER-GENERAL: Russell-Jay: Gould and no doubt many will be doubtful that his activities could actually be central to our legal existence.

So here we have another explanation (inevitably from the American point of view, but we are talking here of a global system so it doesn't only affect Americans).

The Quantum Grammar so-called is key here because it supersedes / overrides the original way of writing contracts, since it is unambiguous. No doubt we will all get used to it in time...

We have approached this topic before, in a memorable interview (below) by Del Bigtree with Zach Bush back in 2020 which covered a variety of current-day ills.

"That this is the exact opposite of what the U.N./W.E.F. want –  which is to force people into fifteen minute prison cities with rural areas left to carbon sinks – is just another example of reality flowing like water around fascist-erected obstacles"

This is how the world should be developing:

What is the opposite of critical thinking?

At this election time, there's a lot of thinking / unthinking going on.

And the result could be important.

Will the future belong to those with the right attitude, and / or those who believe the right things?

Is it manageable in those countries from which we import the balance of the food that we don't grow ourselves?

  • Three Million Excess Deaths in 47 Countries?

    2024-06-24

A Dutch study has reviewed the aftermath of the Covid pharmaceutical interventions and concluded that the statistics of all-cause mortality from 2020 to 2022 for the 47 countries for which data was available are cause for concern.

"Their study is one of the few to examine excess deaths on a global level - a recent and disturbing phenomenon that has virtually been ignored by governments and the mainstream media"

"Also, it is one of the few to dare point to the massive elephant in the room: the experimental COVID-19 'vaccines' that were heralded as 'safe and effective' "

"The results showed that the Pfizer trial had a 36% higher risk of serious adverse events in the vaccine group. The Moderna trial had a 6% higher risk of serious adverse events among vaccine recipients"

    Global Freezing Incoming?

    2024-06-23

Why is it that politicians always seem to suffer from a reality gap?

In so far as the gap between the fantasy of their fondly-imagined future and the current reality of the state of the nation always seems to be a chasm too far for them to even comprehend, let alone to bridge?

It's as if they really believe that all they have to do is to tell us where they want us to be in the future, and someone else will do all the hard graft to work out how to get us all there, and then actually get us all there, whatever obstacles may be encountered along the way.

Perhaps we voters should send engineers to Parliament rather than politicians, since engineers are accustomed to producing products that work - but then wouldn't that mean that we would have to work with the defective products now produced by all those useless displaced politicians?

"It is no longer possible for either party to pretend that we can decarbonise
