In this long-running case (we reported on it in January 2021) CHD and the EHT argued that the FCC had acted perversely and illegally in not updating their safety limits for EMF radiation (cell towers, wi-fi etc) to take account of more recently available evidence that such radiation can cause adverse health effects at limits far below the set guidelines.

Children's Health Defense is taking the FCC (Federal Communications Committee) to court over their federal ruling "which allows fixed wireless companies to contract with private property owners, including homeowners, to place point-to-point antennas on their property".

“The rule effectively transforms residential areas into radiation-saturated industrialized zones and creates a wireless ‘Wild West’”

This may all be happening in America rather than the UK but our regulatory authorities habitually look to the USA for their lead, so this case is of great interest to us.

Hardly a day goes by without news of some technical innovation or other, but we are used to that - so much so that we scarcely take the time to register the fact, never mind stop to think about whether or not we ought to worry about it.

So it is with this one - Skynet went live on 8th June . . .

So what? No doubt it's some new satellite group to be used for some good purpose or other.

Which does not actually preclude its use for purposes which we might consider to be not so good - should we be worried?

Book Review

I've mentioned this book elsewhere but it does no harm to give it another mention, this time in a book review by Scottie's Tech Info.

Arthur Firstenberg has done a grand job tracing the history of world-wide man-made electrical / electro-magnetic phenomena and matching up with all manner of sickness previously unknown or unknown in such volume. None of this is conclusive in the sense that it proves the link beyond reasonable doubt, but it does make you sit up and think  "I didn't know that - this needs checking out".

The medico-political Covid situation is confusing on multiple levels which will clearly not be resolved any time soon, but just when you thought that there can't possibly be any more new hypotheses to discuss, along comes Matt Ehret with another.

It is widely accepted that electromagnetic radiation can be damaging to our health. X-rays, gamma rays, nuclear radiation, ultra-violet sunshine are all acknowledged to be damaging, whilst sunlight (excluding damaging UV) is known to be beneficial both physically (allowing the body to generate vitamin D) and mentally (cheering us all up :) .

Infra-red can be damaging if it causes us to heat up too much.

All other radiation is thought to be harmless . . .   except where it isn't, such a microwave radiation which causes us to heat up and is used for that purpose in microwave ovens (and for communications purposes in WiFi at low levels thought to be safe by regulators but disputed by campaigners).

The EHT court case against the FCC - first report from the hearing in Washington DC.

The EHT has published an article including two video reports, one assessing the way that the hearing went, the other an audio recording from the hearing itself.

I found that latter quite revealing - to a laymen such as myself it seems extraordinary that the FCC (which one might have expected to have expertise in telecomms technology) should have relied on the FDA (Federal Food and Drug Administration) to assess the safety of electronic communications radiations. What were they thinking of?

Anyway, enough of my legally unqualified opinions.

I began to take an interest in this at around the time when the 5G roll-out began.

The following information is taken from a blog that I started back in 2018 when articles began appearing on the internet which voiced concerns that the whole EMF (Electro-Magnetic Fields) situation might have adverse consequences.

In recent years, especially with the advent of mobile phones (1G 2G 3G and 4G) and wi-fi in all areas including our homes, these EMFs have already become all-pervasive and many believe that he FCC (Federal Communications Committee) of the USA, which is charged with ensuring the public safety of such technology, and which is effectively the world-leading authority, may have been asleep on the job - or worse, may have seemed in practical terms to collude with industry to deny and cover up any safety shortcomings.
