"Down With Dictator Xi!"
2026-03-29
Chinese tranquillity is under pressure.
From the rumour-mill about the inner tensions within the CCP, to chaos on the streets over the building of a crematorium, unrest is evident.
As one might expect, what is actually going on is unclear.

Texas Republicans Want Peace More than they Want Trump
2026-03-28
As an exercise in testing public opinion, the Dallas CPAC has returned its verdict. America first - and "no more wars" even if Trump now wants war. "No miore war"means "no more war", not even for Israel.
"... unease intensified after a Pentagon supplemental funding request reported at $200 billion - far beyond the White House’s initial framing of the operation as lasting mere 'days' or 'weeks' "
Quite so. It's never the people who want wars, it's always the politico-industrial-banking complex.
Is the Dallas message the harbinger of public opinion yet to manifest?

HART Does Gallstones
2026-03-26
Gallstones are not a major health issue (unless you have them).
But they have significance to the Covid measures because "Gallstones are not known to be caused by Covid-19, making it a good control case for estimating harm from policy".
So how did "our" NHS fare?
"The temporal relationship, magnitude of service disruption, and the known natural history of gallstone disease together suggest that healthcare disruption was a major contributing factor in these excess deaths"
Now a "temporal relationship" on its own proves nothing, so HART has done further analysis to try to get to the truth of it.

Daily Sceptic Does Climate Science
2026-03-26
A new paper just published in Nature suggests some surprising results from an investigation of ice cores which are assumed to have sampled the atmosphere over the last 3 million years or so.
The primary conclusion being that the levels of CO2 and methane (the culprits which have been widely fingered for causing our (non-existant 1) global warming by the "official" bodies appointed to pronounce on such matters) have in fact remained almost unchanged for the last 3 million years (it's not clear whether the ice cores in question only covered 3 million years or whether there was more earlier, in which case of course further research will have to be urgently funded).
The Daily Sceptic has the story.

Grok Does Göbekli Tepe
2026-03-26
Remember the Younger Dryas? Me neither.
But maybe in Göbekli Tepe Grok has found some people who did, because they were eye-witnesses...and they recorded what they knew so that we would know too. Then they buried the knowledge where we might find it....
If only they had had YouTube in those days, maybe it wouldn't have taken them so long. But then we might never have found it.

Oil Locked Down and Nowhere to Go

** BAD TASTE WARNING
The Epstein files have brought us into the era of epic bad taste. It's upon us. Get used to it.
My attitude is that I will avoid bad taste except where it seems particularly appropriate. You don't have to agree, but be assured that I will minimise it overall whilst not always shying away from it.As is as about as predictable as tomorrow morning, the powers that shouldn't be are working on the next BIG THING that they hope will scare the Bejasus out of us and have us begging for something - anything - even a lockdown - complete with panoply of confusing contradictory bureaucratic rules and meaningless moronic restrictions - to delight the compliant-to-a fault and the tell-me-what-to-dos who will in turn delight in shaming the rest of us into all-numbing limbo because otherwise "WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!" because either there's another DEADLY but totally novel virus that nobody knows anything about (except that it's

Astatistical Freaks and Climate Chameleons
2026-03-25
NB: This is for entertainment purposes only.
Readers wanting to know about real climate science should understand one thing - it is so preposterously complex and open to the influence of so many variables, not all of which are probably yet identified let alone confirmed or actually measurable, that it is completely unrealistic to assert that human beings have mastered it, given the extreme paucity of actual hard information available. It is not and cannot be "settled" since "the science" is by its very nature never "settled" but always open to correction and reinterpretation in the light of new information. Those who maintain otherwise are either ignorant or mendacious or possibly both.
NB: "models" may well be complicated, difficult to construct, and to understand, but these traits of themselves do not make them any part of "science" - they are simply logical tools invented for automatically generating results based upon the modeller's fancy and whatever "data" he (or anyone else) chooses to put

Rich Does Parliament
2026-03-24
This is not Party Party Politics, but it is British power and control.
With Andrew Bridgen, and EM Burlingame.
"Now what we've actually got is a house of cronies"
"It's a system set up for the elite"
Spot on, but that's merely one aspect...
"We are the most corrupt country in the world"
"Civilization is the ability to recognise traitors within and having the mechanisms whereby we deal with them... the first threat always is internal... "
"... free the Crown from the threat of knives at the throat and see what the crown does... "
This is a real deep dive, both into the current systems of power in the UK and into the history of the English-speaking world.

China's Military Data Hacked?

The Beginning of the End 2 - Fulford Report 23 Mar 2026
2026-03-23
Much like last week, Ben brings up up to date as best he can in a situation where the truth is too shocking to the main protagonists to be made properly available.
Whilst there are reports in the mainstream press about the Iran war, reading between the lines is still a difficult and hugely problematic exercise - but what do we expect in wartime? We live within a vast psychological battleground where probably nothing major is as it seems.

Religion - The Curse of the World?
2026-03-23
Not necessarily.
Religions have (according to the history books) been very often a cause of bloody conflict (the crusades, likewise the persecution of heretics - notably the Cathars - by those religious powers who had neither shame nor concepts of doubt or mercy).
Primarily the "Abrahamic" religions headed by Vatican, Islam, Satanism, Communism (if it can be called a religion as it more or less denies a creator God), all do or used to worship the notion of power over others. (I feel led to include Judaism here also, but frankly that's too complex a subject for me to either claim a decent understanding of or to pontificate about here).
And if not bloody conflict, certainly a mental conflict about their assumptions of how our world came to exist and how it actually works.
Sounds rather like today doesn't it? Have we

We haven't heard from Max for a while, but he has some interesting things to say about Australia, likewise about Mexico and recent events that he personally witnessed there, but mostly he has some very interesting things to say about Trump and the Israel-Iran war, which doesn't look as though it will end any time soon.
