The Stinking Malaise that is Parliament, the Civil Service, the Media

Dominic Cummings isn't everybody's cup of tea, but he does have first-hand experience of that about which he writes, and isn't afraid to draw unfashionable conclusions where the evidence so leads.
"It’s ‘impossible’ to control our borders but we must fight over Ukraine’s borders"
"We must coverup the rape gangs ‘for community cohesion’ and to continue mass immigration but we will rally on TV to fight ‘the new Hitler’ thousands of miles away with forces that do not exist"
"We must transform the MoD and defence procurement because fake budgets and disastrous procurement are destroying our forces"
"The combination of the above policies with ‘Ukraine should join NATO’ ... mixes great weakness with provocation on exactly the wrong thing"
"they can write interesting things about military operations, drones and tanks etc, but they cannot write anything realistic about the politics and the politics is always more fundamental and is our regime’s spectacular failure"
"Ukraine is existential for Russia. It is trivial for America and Britain"
"The West was deluded over the effect of sanctions ..."
" ... we were delusional over India and non-China Asia ... "
But were these (and other) "delusions" themselves delusions? Is there an (unthinkable) alternative explanation for why these delusions so consistently prevailed?
Were they (for example) driven by the 'military industrial complex'? Cui bono?
And is Parliament fit for purpose if it cannot escape the prevailing delusions?
It's not as though these "delusions" are by themselves - we also have the Covid delusions (too many to enumerate here) and the green delusions currently eviscerating our industrial base and community norms, not to mention the delusion of the much-promised lower levels of immigration ...
How so many delusions coming to a head in so few years?
It's a long article, but one that demands our attention. Not to mention careful evaluation.
"WE should announce that WE will NOT be deterred by Russian nuclear threats ... But Russia WILL be deterred by OUR threats (nuclear and non-nuclear) and actions (including attacks on Russian territory) and RUSSIA must ‘show self-restraint’ "
Can nobody see what has been going on here? Can nobody see whither all this nonsense is leading?
The "Peace Plan" for Europe

ZeroHedge reviews the embryonic Starmer Peace Plan that seems to have the support of European leaders.
As we have noted earlier, it's cannot be a "Peace Plan" if it includes features to which we know that President Putin will not agree. Such as western military "boots on the ground" in Ukraine.
Putin may, like all of us, harbour the occasional delusion, but he's not insane, nor is he prepared to simply throw away the fruits of his leadership so far.
Heigh ho, who cares about the details when there's a propaganda war to be fought for public opinion?

What is going on between the UK, EU, NATO, Ukraine, and the Trump-Putin relationship?
This is all pretty complicated and difficult to follow, but maybe we should bear in mind that it may not be totally without foundation - and the fact that it's hosted on Scott Ritter's channel lends it credence.

For those with short memories, and those who simply were not yet here, this article covers the salient historical points from the latter parts of the 20th Century onward, from the perspective of an American. Necessarily it leaves out a vast amount which may never be known.
Some may believe that the Trump phenomenon is the fight-back against the endemic corruption described, some fear that Trump is simply the latest in a long line of "controlled opposition". I can't help you with that one, we will have to see how matters play out.
"By their fruits shall you know them"
What is undeniable is the role that Israel has historically played in US politics, and quite likely in the politics of other nations including our own - after all, the State of Israel was originally promoted in the UK's Balfour declaration after WW1.
Many may dispute the assertion that Freemasonry played a central role in the corruption of US administrations - I wasn't there so can neither confirm nor deny, but nothing would surprise me any more.
Certainly, to properly understand current events, we should first understand the history of how we got here. Failing a full explanation however (not to mention the time needed to read such!) we must make do with what we have.
The Starmer-Macron "Peacekeeping" Force

A force to keep the pressure on Russia, and to keep UK-EU military forces in the Ukraine.
And if Russia does agree a peace deal, to boost the Ukraine's defensive capabilities ...
I commented yesterday on the logic of Starmer's position, but one salient point i missed:
Call me old-fashioned, but if Russia has waged a war since 2022 to keep Ukraine out of NATO and NATO out of Ukraine (as clearly stated by Vladimir Putin), then Russia will just reject these ideas out of hand as putting NATO into Ukraine under another name.
It simply won't fly. There will be no lasting ceasefire under these suggestions, and probably no ceasefire at all.
Since the Europeans must know this, it is difficult to avoid concluding that they want the conflict to continue at all costs.
The question is - why? The answer isn't obvious, nor is it likely to be in the interests of either the populations of the EU or the UK or the Ukraine, or indeed of Russia herself.
Of course the narrative pushed by our mainstream media is that Putin is a power-crazed dictator who won't stop until he reaches the west coast of Portugal, but Putin also has to keep his Russian public on-side, so such an enormous expansion of his war aims would have to be justified to the Russians.
Whether he is or is not an insane dictator, we haven't yet seen the end of this.
