Feeling stressed out? Bad Day histrionics? Can't cope?
Well, if you're like me (you do have two arms, two legs, a head with two eyes, two ears, one nose etc?) then maybe this is for you.
Listening to the right music can work wonders with your mood, putting you up for dancing like a Dervish, waltzing around the ballroom, working up a brisk concentration, or just plain letting go for a blessed interlude where thoughts quieten and (if you want) relaxation rules.
It needn't stop you working (I'm listening as I write this) but it does calm and soothe to excellent effect. Try it when you go to bed and you'll likely wake up as relaxed as you have never been (and your ailments may have measurably improved to boot!).
There's a considerable science behind all this, which may take you to places you never imagined possible (no, I am not pushing his product, and I neither recommend it nor comment on it - it's your own risk - but he does a fair job of explaining some underlying theory, which may or may not be applicable to today's featured music video).
But never mind all that, just start simple with today's offering of calmness / deep relaxation.

Martin updates us on the sorry story (The Trial from Appleby Horse Fair) that exposes the charades that our "system of justice" deploys to bamboozle and exhaust us into compliance with its illegal and unlawful demands.
Illegal because they do not reference real Courts as laid down by law (even where such real Courts may exist!) and unlawful because they are essentially fraudulent, and fraud vitiates everything.
This is his public record of these unfathomable framings, and how the system seeks at every turn to to evade its responsibilities and prevent a challenge from being heard in a real court. Perhaps they really do have something to hide?

"The more chaos, the better his odds ... "
Is the new ruckus between China and Trump a sign of what is going on in Chinese leadership circles?
If your enemies are in the ascendant, bowl them a googly for which they are unprepared ... and the 4th Plenum is critical.
Xi JinPing may not be done quite yet, and Trump now has a big paddle with which to stir the troubled waters. Will he use it? Silly question!

I think that this just about sums up the mood of many, probably the mood of the Nation.
One might well expect organised crime to be attracted to money and power like flies to road kill, but even if our politics isn't significantly corrupt (what is to prevent it?), it certainly isn't working.
This site has no party political allegiance - as far as we are concerned no MP can serve two masters, so he must choose to represent those who control his Party, or to represent his constituents. Only the unctuously slippery can manage to appear to represent both, and any MP who values his tenure must obey his party whips.
Nevertheless "it takes two to tango", and those constituents who make no effort to seriously understand and engage in politics hugely outnumber those that do get involved. Until "we the people" organise to take on a much bigger involvement, it's hard to see how the current system can be reformed.
That said, the residents of Clacton have something to say ....

This might set the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons. Perhaps it should be banned as offensive to all wrong-thinking people who make it their business to be egregiously put out by anything that they disagree with?
But the truth is that it reinforces that ancient but excellent principle of British Justice that many thought had been abandoned years ago (although nobody quite knew when exactly ... ).
“The right to freedom of expression, if it is a right worth having, must include the right to express views that offend, shock or disturb"
Pass me my smelling salts!
Still, all may not be completely unfettered:
“A person who acts so as to cause harassment, alarm or distress to another may commit an offence”
Now "harassment" "alarm" and "distress", like "offend" "shock" and "disturb", are not precise in everyday English, so there is wriggle room here; but even so, "may" does not imply "will".
A key point that seems to have been overlooked is that "offence" can be offered but yet not taken, or taken even when not actually offered, whilst alarm and distress are thought to be caused (even if they might be readily feigned), even as one man's harassment might be another's water off a duck's back.
Lumping these terms together is potentially problematic. Still, "harassment" has a legal definition, whilst "alarm" and "distress" seem to require association with "threatening or abusive behaviour" in order to lead to an offence being committed, whilst "intent" must be proven for all three.
So all in all, it looks like a good step backward toward times when sanity once prevailed in our Courts rather more widely than has seemed evident in recent years.
