What would we think if a Court blocked Nigel Farage from standing for election?

Like him or loathe him, he has as much right to appeal for the support of his compatriots as anybody.

But that isn't going to happen in Britain - there are better ways to ensure that he doesn't get too near to actual power than an outright ban.

So perhaps it's a measure of how desperate the French power base is, that Marine le Pen has been prevented from standing for the presidential election.

Evidently they do things differently in France.

Perhaps if we could get the courts to ban all the unsuitable

Apparently, Rachel Reeves has already set up a UK equivalent, the OVfM (Office for value for money).

I'm sure that we are all agog to know more about its amazing successes in closing down all the unnecessary and frankly illegal scams that suck the financial blood out of our taxes, and indeed the Daily Sceptic is I'm sure eager to inform us, so the first project appears to be a leisurely appraisal of ways in which to reduce the costs of procuring short term accommodation, for homeless Brits and asylum seekers.

Now you could excitedly go and read all about it, but there's really no need, because (spoiler alert) the one policy that really might have an impact on the expense to government in providing all this short term accommodation - the reversal of the government

Interest of Justice reviews America's withdrawal from the WHO, apparently only to set up the CDC under RFK Jr as a similarly unaccountable and dictatorial authority.

Given that our own medical regulators "always" take their lead from the US authorities, this affects the UK and elsewhere just as much as it affects America.

But don't panic, they are almost certainly already here, and so are we still, so it's unlikely that they mean us any harm provided that we don't mean them any harm.

But that's not to say that introductions might not be in order... at some point. Good neighbourliness is important, but maybe we can prioritise to sort out our world's governments first before we light the blue touch paper on this one.

Romania, having annulled the election of Calin Georgescu on the grounds of (wait for it) "suspicions of Russian meddling", has now banned him from standing in the May election. 

So far, so "democratic".

Yet another country that cannot trust its own people to elect the right politicians. Or rmaybe the left politicians. It's all very confusing...

An interesting little video has appeared,which purports to get to the bottom of the legal status of those who inhabit the British Isles, and it raises some interesting points. It may also validate the naming of this site!

After watching, we may remind ourselves that the US Military is sworn specifically to defend the Constitution of the United States (from enemies external and internal!). They were way ahead of us back in 1788 (or thereabouts - I'm not sure exactly when the military adopted their specific oath, but presumably it was after the Constitution was ratified).

Specific allegiances may appear arcane but are hugely important - they involve trust, and they can tell us whom we should be able and/or willing to trust.

For those with short memories, and those who simply were not yet here, this article covers the salient historical points from the latter parts of the 20th Century onward, from the perspective of an American. Necessarily it leaves out a vast amount which may never be known.

Some may believe that the Trump phenomenon is the fight-back against the endemic corruption described, some fear that Trump is simply the latest in a long line of "controlled opposition". I can't help you with that one, we will have to see how matters play out.

What is undeniable is the role that Israel has historically played in US politics, and quite likely in the politics of other nations including our own - after all, the State of Israel was originally promoted in the UK's Balfour declaration after WW1.

Scott Ritter - give him an inch and he'll take a mile!

Peace in the Ukraine is only just beginning to be talked about, and here he is thinking about the real need to phase out mankind's ability to self-immolate through nuclear war.

Probably not a moment too soon if you ask me. The world needs people like Scott who not only have the foresight to identify a path forward, but also have the experience to assess the pitfalls and map out how best to do it. Sadly they are becoming thin on the ground, so the sooner the process can be mapped out, the better for all concerned.

With "renewables" leading to ever higher energy costs, nuclear still regarded with some suspicion (and SMRs not yet rolling off the production lines in volume), government-backed mega power-stations seemingly permanently mired in the paralysis of analysis and the perils of politicking, and of course fracking being sent packing, some think that old king coal is poised to make a come-back.

Yes, there are obvious problems with that, but there's problems with everything just now - and just how are all these wonderful new but power-gobbling AI data-centres going to be powered?

The gauntlet dropped by Q was picked up by amateur sleuths everywhere.

"The “QAnon” label became a catch-all smear—any discussion of government corruption, human trafficking, or elite criminal networks could now be dismissed as “QAnon conspiracy theories"

... but only by the gullible. The amateur sleuths continued regardless and brought us to where we are today.

Perhaps AI has its uses after all.

Ben Fulford - still happily with us despite being turfed out of his rented accommodation last week - has somehow managed to post his weekly report as normal.

Normal however is perhaps not the best word to choose to describe the state of the world that he describes this week.

With the ancien régime facing collapse on multiple fronts due to extreme loss of (illegal) funding from their financial sources in the US, we can expect tantrums...

Martin Geddes is now making so much use of AI that his productivity of articles is hard to keep up with!

Whether or not this particular article was AI-enabled, it is admirably laid out and clearly explains the precise alleged infractions of the law that pertain to the way that the case against him has been handled.

Now one might think that this is in point of fact a pretty trivial case, so pay up shut up and get on with life - but that isn't so. If the police themselves are not operating lawfully then that really is a very serious issue, and they need to be taken to task.
