Now the Daily Sceptic tells us how those who hope we have short memories are trying to spin away the blame.

It wasn't the non-pharmaceutical interventions that did the damage, but the fear of the virus... so it was our fault for believing the incessant fear-mongering?

If this wasn't published in a reputable journal (!) I would think it a well-timed way over-the-top outrageous spoof, but these days one has to move with the times and recognise that what passes for politics is actually just attempted mind-control. If the peasants are revolting against it, then mind-control harder!

(a) the microscopically insignificant risk of Covid-19 to babies, toddlers, and children of all ages, and

Indeed you yourself will no longer be a person, just an avatar in a metaverse watching an advice video, speaking with an AI, or (if lucky) another avatar.

The NHS has always come in for a certain amount of stick, and some suggest that if a service is free at the point of use then it will inevitably be overwhelmed because the means of rationing a finite resource is simply moved from money to queuing. 

Others think that anything organised by "the government" is bound to fall over sooner or later due to both ever-changing political meddling and management by a remote multi-layered bureaucracy in semi-perpetual reorganisation. There is obvious truth in this - when did you ever hear about a shortage of NHS managers? Or about a new government that didn't have some pet scheme to "fix the NHS"?

In past times when I used to knock on doors to campaign for Brexit, I was "treated" to some horrific stories of those who had been unable to access any sensible treatment from the NHS. I wasn't specifically talking about the NHS but these stories came out anyway. 

Have things improved since then?

So what's new you ask?

And anyway, the UK isn't demanding coerced injections any more...   but if any employer in the UK is so doing (or tries it on once more), the law (according to "down under") is on your side.

No, it's not really anything new, but it is a new twist that potentially evens the argument. Instead of arguing against your possibly remote and effectively faceless employer, you can argue with the person waiting to inject you.

This could even the odds up considerably.

Of course the Australian precedent may not be recognised in a UK Court, but coerced medical intervention (especially with a needle) has always been considered assault and battery under Common Law (in my understanding).

So ask the person wielding the needle their identity and tell them that you are being coerced to take the jab, pointing out that they will be guilty of assault if they do
