Fear is the virus ("Virus": Latin for "poison").
Logically therefore we could extrapolate that virology is the science of poisoning. But perhaps only in Latin ...
Nevertheless there does appear to be a strange predilection to classify previously unknown ailments as infectious in origin, only to find later that a poison, whether natural or pharmaceutical in origin, was the true cause.
We see the same mind-set still evident today, with all authorities determined that both Covid and "long Covid" are caused by a virus, and that nothing else could possibly be considered to account for the illness that required a (highly dubious) test to identify a "case".
And certainly not any form of vaccine, which as everybody knows is invariably "safe and effective" (except when it was "unavoidably unsafe" when Big Pharma wanted, and got, legal protection from being sued for damage caused to the health and well-being of the vaccinated).
Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
