Perhaps the AI Grand Master is already pulling the strings controlling all the world's governments?

If so, then the AI GM is doing a pretty good job to persuade us that these are governments that don't work for their people and need to be abolished.
In stock market terms AI is the latest boom, carrying the hopes of millions either to fruition or destruction - as always there will be few winners and plenty of losers.
But perhaps an AI can pick the winners?!
But I digress.
Latest moves by the (self-appointed?) leaders of the pack are to hype up the fear and to advocate their own "expert" (= pet) regulators to police the pack in the name of the government. After all, AI is a complex business and where else are competent experts to be found?
Much like the CDC and FDA "work for" / "regulate" the pharmaceutical industry.
Anyone who thinks that government regulation is the answer to out-of-control corporations hasn't been paying attention recently.
I don't know what the answer is, but I know what it isn't.
