With no serious events happening (at least publicly) today's report is a largely pre-written placeholder, reviewing Ben's involvement in the journalism of international secret societies and how we and he got here.
In a slow cycle race the last one to cross the finish line wins - thus they are extended affairs with much wobbling and self-control and "are we nearly there yet?" moments from bored kids - perhaps an apt metaphor for today's summer doldrums.
It's all good fascinating material which is sure to present stuff that we didn't know, including his involvement with the White Dragon Society.
Sadly he never gets around to explaining why there are so many societies sporting a "dragon" nomenclature, but with "dragon" references worldwide it's clear that dragons must have been a real feature of prehistorical ubiquity.
