Readers may be familiar with The Spider's Web - a video explaining how Britain (or perhaps more accurately, the City of London) has been surreptitiously engaged in manipulating the world to its own ends for a long time.
The City is not subject to UK British or English control ... in fact, the reverse is probably true as the City has its "Remembrancer" sitting in Parliament, one of whose functions is most probably to remind Parliament about who is the real boss.
A post WW2 book by an American, The Empire of "The City" (available on Amazon), pieces together the history that some would prefer to remain hidden.
