This is all about how we are governed, which is all about preventing us from governing ourselves.
The merry-go-round that recycles failed (compromised?) politicians through "different" parties does not serve us.
(Likewise the merry-go-round that recycles failed but permanent civil servants around different departments, and there are orders of magnitude more of these than there are politicians ... )
We know that, they know that, we know that they know that, they know that we know etc yet still it continues.
Who this system actually serves I'll leave as an exercise for our readers.
It continues because we keep on with the idiotic pretense that elections change anything - they don't, but they do recycle a few undead politicians around the various party labels.
Elections are the trap that keeps the population from taking effective action.
And no, the UK is not saved.
