Covid, Covid, Wherefore Art Thou, Covid?
It's been a while since Covid stirred its stumps and got out of its sickbed once more to (they hope) scare the plebs silly again.
But there is hope! A New Variant! Cicada! Lord be Praised!
Will we have face masks, silly rules "for our safety", and kids sitting 2 metres apart from each other, again?
Will we have "non-essential" business closures, bankruptcies and Covid Warden busybodies "advising" us what we can and can't do, again?
And will the usual suspects in government and officialdom be caught out breaking their own arbitrary rules that they have inflicted on everybody else, again?
And will they be dishing urgent government contracts regardless of cost to their mates and chums who just happen to be on a fast-track procurement lane for things such as masks, tests, hospital gowns, and strange innovative untested treatments, despite having no track record in the provision of such items, again?
And will we have to live on tenterhooks for 3 months again waiting for a "warp speed" intervention to save us from this deadly (or possibly harmless) new menace?
Can't wait? It will be just like old times. Not.
