Think of Austria, think of the skiing, the music, the Sound of Music, the sunshine and fresh mountain air.
Today Austria is implementing mandatory vaccination for a disease that kills almost nobody below the average life expectancy, backed by draconian fines.
"Last weekend, the Government ... passed one of the most repressive laws in Western Europe since 1945"
" ... the Constitutional Minister, had said in November 2021 that 'the introduction of compulsory vaccination naturally interferes with fundamental rights' ... she added ... that the step was necessary and justified "
None of this amounts to coercion of course:
"It should be firmly stated that the obligation to vaccinate is not enforced by coercion, i.e. no one should be forced to be vaccinated. Instead, administrative penalties are provided" (the Salzburger Nachrichten) - so that's OK then.
" ...with close to 90% of the population over 50 years old vaccinated, the law seems designed to target the country’s youngest and, therefore, poorest" and, one might add, the least susceptible to the disease.
" ...the definition of 'fully vaccinated' has not yet been clarified and is ... a moving target. Gecko, the men in white coats and syringes, are already talking of a fourth inoculation by September 2022"
One might ask:- with Omincron known to be about as bad as a mild flu, where is now the emergency which justified the Emergency Use Authorisations? And where are the "journalists" prepared to ask such simple questions?
