Anyone betting against Mr Putin getting his way should remember that he has a score to settle with those who set off the Bolshevik revolution that killed millions (in both Russia and the Ukraine), executed the Tsar and his entire family and kids, and then supported Hitler in his invasion of Russia leading to the Great Patriotic War and millions more Russian deaths.
