Ben's weekly report today majors on recent events in Arabia and the financial state of the USA Inc.
It's all rather opaque for most of us, but as ever it seems to revolve around who can push whom into a corner.
Yes, it's the US and China centre stage, but the EU is the dog whose bark is rapidly following it's bite into inconsequence.
It ain't over 'til the Fat Lady sings, but where are we to find a Fat Lady appropriate to the situation, and of what exactly is she to sing?

Martin Geddes (with a little help from AI) relates his lawful activities to uncover lawless Courts to the ever evolving nature of warfare: warfare is conducted by lawfare before ever it comes to force of arms.
"We are now in an era of metawarfare, where the battlefield is not fixed, but disputed—because the war is about what the war is"
"Victory belongs to whoever defines the conflict"
" ... To 'win' at lawfare is ... to compel the opposition to cease their opposition to truth"
At one level this is obvious, and is evidenced by the oath of witnesses:
"I swear (/ affirm etc) to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth"
Yet this oath by the witness is not obviously matched by an oath of the interrogator to ask all the necessary questions, omitting none, so errors of omission may indeed proliferate, even if the witness gives fully truthful answers.
The safeguard is to cross-examine the witness by each side in the case so that all relevant questions can indeed be asked, although in this case omitting to ask the right question does not place one at risk of perjury.
At another level it is about exposing any deliberate deceptions and/or departure from judicial impartiality.
So what is the case really about? Is it about obedience to the rules, or is it about reaching a just and sensible solution? Is it even about the appropriate and lawful nature of the court itself? The route to a 'good outcome' will depend upon the motivation behind the questions.
Those who weigh the final judgement will determine the outcome, and even a jury in a modern court may not ask questions or raise objections or otherwise participate in the trial. And many cases these days dispense with a jury.

Let's be clear - this article is no prophecy, but it does set out some possibilities that may materialise in the coming months and years.
Firstly, Trump's recent extraordinary welcomes in the Arab states are fairly obviously not without significance - but whether that significance will be permanent or temporary is yet to become clear. Maybe it is to re-establish a "Petrodollar II" system of global trade advantageous to the US, or an AI-based system of world currency controls devised to benefit those who design it, or both, or something else, we don't know, but something is certainly afoot!
The other major show on Earth is the BRICS grouping, which seems to be methodically plotting a course toward a multi-polar world where independent countries plan develop and trade on a level playing field (no, not the EU one!), owing allegiance to no power block, but cooperating to escape ensnarement by any previous or future power-block. This group may be affected by a Chinese situation at which we have previously hinted.
And finally, there is the idea that the world that has so far been run, not directly by specific countries or power-blocks, but by a controlling secret society (AKA The Cabal [and the Sequel], the British / Anglo-Dutch Empire, the Khazarian Mafia ... ) that has operated globally to control the world to its own ends through the manipulation of countries power-blocks and global institutions (especially Central Banks), which have (probably for centuries) been infiltrated by that secret society to its own secret unaccountable ends.

"The Lord is not whispering any more ... "
In a startling address, His Holyness addresses the need to awake, and points up 2025 as the year of the Return of the Lord, the greatest moment in history.
" ... the call to awaken is not gentle ... "
"This is the hour to wake up"
Yes, it's a bit apocalyptic, but that makes a refreshing change from the traditional bland pronouncements of clergy of many denominations who tend to be either ahead of or behind the curve of unfolding events.
"Repentance is not just for the world, it is for the church, it is for the pastors who have grown silent ... the call is not for someone else, it is for you, it is for me ... "
It's not a bad speech, even if it does have the hallmarks of being delivered by an AI. In consequence some may feel that it lacks authenticity, even lacks impact, but certainly it is a wake-up call for the faithful, even whilst being heavy on abstract exhortation and light on the specifics of our time.
So we might (to pick an example) take it as supporting a redoubling of effort either for Net Zero, or against it, depending on our inclination, whilst maybe the appropriate approach might be to find ways to bridge the gap between its adherents and detractors, so to achieve a reconciliation through humility on both sides. Although there may be some way to go on this one ...
