  • UK Column News Wed 10th May 2023

    2023-05-10

Much extraordinary information here, British involvement in Ukraine, simmering dissatisfaction in the EU, and outrageous kids sex education battles in Wales, which is in effect spearheading the resistance for the whole of the UK. The UK public need to be aware. Just for starters.

Followed by fake nursing qualifications... and "medical doctor apprenticeships" for school leavers... plus more Covid vaccines...  and some notes about the coronation.

  • Not a Crypto, Not Fiat, Not of the Government ...

    2023-05-10

... so what's not to like?

Yes we are talking about money.

Not fiat money whose purchasing power evaporates at the whim of the central bankers, not crypto that can disappear in a puff as soon as you forget your pass-phrase (or other reasons), but gold-backed money that we can accept and offer to others in exchange for goods and services.

Based on a debit MasterCard account so in theory usable everywhere.

None of which guarantees that purchasing power will not change (rules of supply and demand still apply) and I'm sure there's a rake-off somewhere to reward the inventors for their time and energy invested, but that's (hopefully) wholly reasonable and likely not a patch on bank charges, hidden or otherwise.

Standard disclaimer - this is not financial advice, it is just another something that maybe we should be aware of.

    President Putin Marks Victory Day

    2023-05-09

Mr Putin commands perhaps the most competent and best armed military in the world, against which NATO seems determined to wage a proxy war in the Ukraine, apparently to the last Ukrainian standing -  and what then?

Even if you think Mr Putin a madman bent on world domination, your best advice is to "know thine enemy".

The BBC did report the event but presents merely selected quotes. So we have no hesitation in turning to Saudi "Al Arabia" (English subtitles) for his actual speech.

  • UK - Empire of the Unlawful

    2023-05-09

Is it lawful to mount a peaceful protest at the Coronation against the monarchy?

After all, free speech is still at least nominally permitted, even if not exactly encouraged.

Yet on Saturday, the plod confiscated banners and detained suspects before any protest had even commenced, reportedly despite the protest being previously cleared with the police.

"Today the BBC reports that the police have apologised personally to Graham Smith. He has not accepted their apology"

    Nor should he.

The police have form in the area of detaining people with the effect (intended or otherwise) of preventing perfectly lawful activity, only to release them without charge once the opportunity for such activity has passed.

Does that not amount to unlawful imprisonment? Maybe harassment? In this case it's certainly prima facie bad

  • And Another Control Thing ...

    2023-05-09

Mahyar Tousi is probably about as English as we are. Albeit he is of Persian extraction, he is also an advocate for individual freedom, tolerance, and personal integrity, all fundamental values of the English, even if not practised by English politicians and the British "establishment" (you know who you are - and so now do most of us).

So in some respects he is well placed to criticise those who come here to further causes that are not perceived as wholly peaceful, tolerant, and supportive of individual freedom.

We may not be satisfied with our top-down government, but is substitution by yet another form of top-down control really the answer?

It's the oldest trick - make up the myth of a controlling deity and interpose your own person between man and God. The Roman empire has been at it since Constantine "converted", as the Vatican could attest, and the same trick has likely been played by Biblical leaders since Moses went up the mountain to get his

Neil raises plenty of questions here, and it's up to "we the people" to find the answers that work for us. Everybody else is simply unreliable.

This is where I part company with Neil - we shouldn't be looking for somebody else to "tell us the truth" - it's up to us to determine the truth - and who tells the truth - for ourselves - and to act accordingly.

If we give up that function, then we submit to somebody else's mastery, and we give up our sovereignty to

  • Whither Will the New King Take his Peoples?

    2023-05-08

Perhaps we need to start with a review of where his peoples have been taken in prior years, culminating in Charles "... becoming the official patron of the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset... ".

Of course the central tenet of royalty is that the bloodline is superior to the bloodlines of the common people, therefore royalty and their sons and daughters are destined to rule the world in perpetuity.

It's not a fashionable tenet these days, but it is counterbalanced to some extent by the notion that the family as an institution is the bedrock of the human species, responsible for the creation and upbringing of each new generation, and having a family as head of state is the highest acknowledgement of this truth.

Still, a family may be functional or dysfunctional, and having a dysfunctional family that cannot be removed from position isn't necessarily a good idea in principle. Nor does the UN's idea that the WHO should determine a common "one

  • A Damp Coronation

    2023-05-07

A wet day in London town, and strange reports from some present that they had been screened off and couldn't see what was going on:

(in the interests of propriety I have cut the last line)

Of course this person's view of what was on the other side of the screens is pure speculation and may not be at all accurate...  but what is the point of a regal procession if nobody can see it? Surely they can't expect the British to respect a monarch who appears to be afraid of his subjects?

Sex and the Global Power Elite

    2023-05-06

This is an article that I never envisaged in my wildest nightmares that I would be writing.

Sex is indeed a complex topic, and I am no "expert" in the matter, but this is not about sex, it's about the destruction of our future by those who are either mad, evil, deluded, or incompetent on a scale that beggars belief. Or perhaps all four.

We have all heard stories about "drag queen story hours" and the like, but without wishing to get into the weeds on the details there can only be one purpose behind these apparently global initiatives.

    I'll start at the beginning.

    We were all children once.

I say that because it's obvious, but maybe it isn't... nevertheless let's make that working assumption.

As children we were (mostly) dandled on our parents knees, read stories, told what we could and couldn't do (for our safety) and

  • Good King Charles' Charitable Enterprises

    2023-05-06

I have (perhaps somewhat tastelessly) remarked previously that it can be difficult to discern the practical difference between Charles being led by the WEF and the WEF being led by Charles.

It doesn't really matter since they are apparently joined at the hip, and invariably push the totally fascist concept of government and corporate oligarchs uniting their efforts to bring in a global New World Order, all for our own good of course.

You might say that there is nothing intrinsically wrong with that, but there is - and that is that all development, other than that approved by those who rule, is blocked and we all become slaves to the ruling elite. Life in recent centuries has been an uneasy compromise between top-down control and bottom-up innovation, but the paucity of new innovation that actually threatened the elite has been notable. Yes we have had lots of innovation (TV, phones, smartphones,

  • As Individuals We are on a Personal Journey

    2023-05-06

These are momentous times, we have lived through momentous times, and more momentous times seem to beckon - so how do we cope with all this momentousness?

We probably all have our own default reactions, with some blanking them out and continuing with life as far as possible as normal, some becoming rebellious and even contentious, and some introverting to analyse exactly what we are feeling, why we are feeling it, and how we are reacting.

As an introvert myself, I belong in the last group. So it would appear does Martin Geddes, whose latest reflections on his journey he has generously shared with us. I think he's a brave man - I wouldn't like to bare my soul to the public quite this way - but marriage makes one more circumspect since others would be affected, and it would be inappropriate unfair and unnecessary to open too much to public scrutiny.

But I relate to his philosophical leanings. I have learned to accept myself as I am with all my imperfections
