Down the Coronation Rabbit Hole

Coronations are rare events of singular importance in legal religious traditional and indeed even revolutionary terms. 

But simple it isn't - every one of us may have a view, sincerely held, based upon different aspects of the historical viewpoint, that essentially may range from "history is  bunk" to "history is the final arbiter". But - whose version of history is to be believed?!

So by way of illustration (and it should be noted, a measure of light entertainment), we investigate the rather limiting viewpoint that a successful coronation MUST be based upon the use of a "genuine" biblical relic that, given the passage of time and the consequent opportunity for corruption of both the message and the relic itself (not to mention the acknowledged inclination of humanity toward both mischief and error), a sane person might reasonably conclude that the genuineness of both the message and the relic cannot be established beyond reasonable doubt.

That being the case, a reasonable person may conclude that no monarch could be considered to be genuine or otherwise merely because of the part played (or not) by the relic. Such a position would open the way for legal chaos should the genuineness of the relic in question somehow be disproven ....

"In the days leading up to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, U.S. and U.K. health officials entered into a 'mutual confidentiality agreement' to keep vaccine adverse events under wraps"

"It would be very helpful if our Office of Vaccines could receive additional details [redacted] from MHRA [UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency] under the terms of our mutual confidentiality agreement."

So on the face of it, our MHRA was colluding with US FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) to hide adverse reactions to the jabs.

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

No doubt more evidence will come to light in due course.

Covid - Counting the Cost

We know that the cost of Covid measures (value for money or not) has been sky high.

We know that the damage to the economy, to schooling, to the elderly was enormous.

But for a global assessment, we are indebted to UK Column for pulling together as complete a picture as I have yet seen.

"Since Covid–19 was recognized in Western countries in early 2020, expenditures on public health in many of them have more than doubled, imposing over $500 billion in monthly costs on the global economy"

" Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices rose by 14.6% in the 12 months to September 2022"

"in February 2020, there were already 4.43 million people on a waiting list for care. The latest figures for July 2022 show a record number of over 6.84 million people waiting for treatment"

"Over $3 trillion in wealth was transferred from the world’s poorest to a tiny number of billionaires and their supporters, predominantly in China and in the tech and pharmaceutical industries"

"A UNICEF report found that 150 million additional children will grow up in poverty"
