"rages" is probably not the right term for war that is low-key, relying on largely imperceptible propaganda censorship deception cunning and the manipulation of information delivered, rather than physical assault and explosions, but it can be no less devastating in impact on those engaged.

That propaganda censorship deception manipulation and cunning have been the bread and butter of probably all past conflicts is now well understood, so perhaps 5GW is merely the next logical advancement in the Art of War. Tsun Tzu would be proud.

NATO members UK France Poland and the Baltic states, and maybe also Turkey are all reportedly gearing up their forces...

When the onward march of technology meets the onward march of intermittent wind and solar, what will be the result for our power bills? Or indeed, for our supply of power?

In two words, I suggest "not pretty".

But never mind, we will have MHHS to help, so that will be OK, right? And it will all be controlled by energy regulator OfGem ("We work to protect energy consumers, especially vulnerable people, by ensuring they are treated fairly and benefit from a cleaner, greener environment" - remember that "benefit from" bit), so what could possibly go wrong?

Many of the articles published on this site are based on a conventional view of our world, a view which regards it largely as a material world in isolation.

But there are many ancient sites and megalithic remains that do not fit at all comfortably within the narratives that are put out by academia.

I remember reporting on Didier Raoult's findings, back in March 2020 before I started this site (search the article for hydroxychloroquine) but here he is again on the HighWire to recount what happened to his work and what he thinks of the "Chinese lab" theory of origin.

This isn't about the medicine, this is about the concomitant politics.

However, we don't regard this video as an attack on the Labour Party, the main purposes of our visible government being:

(a) to obscure who is really in control of our nation and

(b) to take the blame when matters invariably turn out to the detriment of the nation and of our peoples.

That said, is the destruction of the traditional culture and landscape of the English Scots and Welsh peoples now under yet more attack?

The situation vis a vis Israel, America, and Iran has been a long time in the brewing, before even the foundation of Israel, and all the way back to the British Empire and (allegedly) their installed puppet ruler the Shah of Iran. Well before my time in fact.

As the EU desperately beats it's war drums apparently heedless of its dire ability to sustain any such conflict with Russia, we are clearly observing the inflation of rhetoric over reality. Still, since when was a grasp of reality ever a prerequisite for taking a position of power and responsibility in the EU?

But I digress. The one permanent feature of our western monetary systems since... well, seemingly forever... has been the steady (sometimes indeed distinctly unsteady) erosion of the purchasing power of our money. Back in 19xx when we bought our first house, we paid around £11K - good luck buying an equivalent house for that money today - perhaps at 20 times that figure one might begin to stand a chance.

So today we feature a piece about the sources of inflation, some historical background,  and the consequent debasement of the currency - and yes, it can happen even if that currency is gold / silver coinage!
