At the risk of boring everybody into moving rapidly on to another topic, the Daily Sceptic investigates the discordant clash of messaging emanating from the panjandrums at the WHO, who appear to be negotiating a binding global treaty that would enable them to (a) declare a global health emergency à propos of whatever may enter the DG's head at the time (b) take control of every country's response to the said global health emergency and (c) dictate both medical and non-medical interventions to be imposed on their populations, all the while assuring us that this involves no loss of sovereignty for any individual country.

Whilst the above may make perfect sense to any panjandrum that wants to take over the world, to the man in the street such as myself there do appear to be some obvious discontinuities in the logic here.

Of course the perceived discontinuity may depend upon the motivation - if you are indeed a panjandrum intent on taking over the world then there is no logical discontinuity because (a) you want the power and (b) you want the man in the street to give it up, whereas if you are the man in the street, you likely don't want some remote deluded panjandrum (without any clue about or interest in your personal circumstances) dictating idiotic measures that will cause you huge inconvenience (at minimum) and possible damage or death (at maximum).

What about "human rights" we may ask? Well, of course in the WHO panjandrum mindset, an emergency will always justify the "temporary suspension" of such rights for as long as may be necessary. In the man-in-the-street mindset, human rights (along with "free speech") may be our only defence against incompetent/mendacious government. Funny how "free speech" has been whittled away to mean "free-to-agree-with-the-government speech" in recent years.

If you think all the above is just unhinged conspiracy theory, then you may want to read the sanitised version as put forward by the Daily Sceptic, but it's a lot longer.

"The proposed pandemic agreement will set humanity in a new era strangely organised around pandemics: pre-pandemic, pandemic and inter-pandemic"

" ... ratifying countries will agree to limit the right of their public to voice opposition to the WHO’s measures and claims regarding such an emergency"

It's global governance Jim, but not as we know it ... or maybe as we are increasingly coming to know it.
