Net Zero Watch publishes a paper which analyses the code behind NASA's Model E Climate simulation.

We have written about the relationship between computer modelling and science before. That article was occasioned by the failure of Prof Ferguson's Covid modelling, but at the end of the day any computer model is simply a computer program written in order to simulate a specific system according to the understanding of the modeller. That understanding may or may not be based on science - or more specifically, on the scientific method.

Models may be simple or they may be extremely complex, but of itself, complexity does not equate to "science"!

So here's a surprise - another model that doesn't pass the test, this time from NASA, who really should know better.

Can we any longer believe anything that our well-funded-with-tax-payer-dollars/pounds/euros/renminbis/yen "scientific" institutions tell us?

"The development of a [climate model] is a continual process of minor additions and corrections combined with the occasional wholesale replacement of particular pieces"

And here we still are, having been told seemingly since time immemorial that "the science is settled" ...
