The Mail Online has reviewed the daily case rates and death rates across the USA, with specific mention of the two opposing camps - liberal Florida where governor DeSantis refused to clamp down, and California where governor Newsom imposed some of the harshest measures of any state.

The result? Florida did better than most, although the pattern of deaths differs from state to state and the overall result taken in aggregate is not stunningly conclusive. The best that can probably be said is that the harsh measures taken to suppress the virus were probably not much different to inconsequential overall.

In the recent past there have been reports that Covid vaccine effectiveness has become negative in certain situations. 

Indeed the official insistence that people should line up for jab nbr 3 "booster" would rather seem to be consistent with the notion that two jabs don't cut it.

Of course, "effective" may mean "protects against catching it / spreading it" and/or "protects against severe disease". That distinction is not trivial, since if the vaccinated can still catch and spread it then the much-mooted vaccine passports would become ineffective but by no means inconsequential.

MADRID, Oct 22 (EUROPA PRESS) -

"The Government has created a work team to proceed with the return of all the fines that were imposed on citizens during the first state of alarm by COVID-19 and cancel the files that were still being processed by the administration, as reported to Europa Press sources from the Ministry of Territorial Policy."

Spain's Constitutional Court has ruled that the first State of Emergency was unconstitutional and therefore all the fines imposed under those rules will have to be returned.

The Court has still to rule on the second State of Emergency.

Covid is polarising opinion.

Those who trust the authorities and the NHS, and those who half-trust them but find the idea that they are actively acting against the population impossible to accept, these are on one side of the argument.

Those observers who have watched the systematic overturning of good science and good statistical process for no good reason, along with the implicit chorus of "we are scientists and we say so" coming from official advisers in the face of medical practitioners 'at the coal face' around the world who are telling them that they have got it wrong. These observers are on the other side.

Add to this mix the blatant censorship of views that contradict officialdom, add to this the blatant campaigns of fear that were and are being waged by governments to terrify us all into compliance with ever-changing rules and saturation advertising, add to these the use of force to ensure compliance in various countries, and we can see why the

We have reported on the accuracy or otherwise of the infamous PCR test previously, but today the Daily Sceptic provides another look at a previously little-reported aspect that may affect it.

The test is provided by government approved labs of which there are quite a number, but it would appear that they may not always provide the rigorous clean conditions to avoid cross-contamination that should be essential to ensue the accuracy of the test.

Not only that but efforts to ensure uniformity of excellence appear to be lacking, most probably because the government never mandated any. That this should be the case despite the large number of scientists available to advise the government is concerning, to say the least.

TCW (formerly The Conservative Woman) recently published a "translated transcript* of a presentation entitled ‘Uncovering the Corona Narrative’ by the German author and journalist Ernst Wolff, which he delivered in late August".

It's a far-reaching and incisive analysis of why the crisis appears to have unfolded as it has, makes sense of the inconsistent and self-contradictory pronouncements and instructions issued by those in positions of authority, and relates the whole to the financial end-game about to play out as many years of (deliberate) financial mismanagement come inevitably home to roost.

Whether his analysis represents the whole truth (see below) is another question, but certainly he nails a considerable part of it.

The US Department of Defense has been investigating the USA Medicare statistics - covering a population of 5.6 million aged 65 and over.

Whilst it is by no means certain that the UK over-65s are an equivalent population in terms of health and health outcomes, this study is certainly flagging up big questions about the efficacy of the vaccines within the elderly.

The Daily Sceptic reports on the latest mortality data from the ONS showing deaths registered among 15-19 year olds are rising significantly (compared with 2020) post vaccine roll-out.

"Between weeks 23 and 37 in 2021 there have been 252 deaths among 15-19 year-olds in England and Wales. This compares to 162 in the same period in 2020, an increase of 90 or 56%. That’s a lot, and deserves some kind of explanation"

Correlation is not necessarily causation, but should we be worried?

In point of fact it is the 2021 graph that shows the flatter overall trend of weekly deaths from all causes, not the 2020 graph, so was there something about 2020 that caused a higher death rate than normal between weeks 20 - 23? If there was then that seems also to have affected 2021 since the graphs track each other
