It seems that Trump is, with Israel, in a hole of his own digging.
So why is that?

But perhaps, as ever, it may not be so unfathomable if we re-examine our assumptions.
The assumption seems to be that this is an exercise to take down the hidden hand of the City of London, which is said to be behind both the Israelis (Israel being largely a creation of the Rothschilds banking dynasty) and perhaps, in the view of some, also the IRGC in Iran.
But perhaps this list should be extended to also include the United States of America Inc which is owned (allegedly) by the same people, plus the Vatican. As Alex remarked, it is the USA that has initiated most of the wars since WW2.
Perhaps the USA and all its works also needs taking down, so that the world reset can take place in the interests of the people, rather than of the oligarchs, London, and Washington.
Now that really would be a "Great Reset".
