Ben's report this week reflects the gathering pace of global events that do seem to portend a big crunch of some kind manifesting in short order - it's just that it has become almost impossible to sort the truth from the assemblage of possible explanations.
Ben's view would seem to be as likely as any other, although it's not clear to me that he has factored in the latest fast-moving situation in China, which is unlikely to have stabilised quite yet.
