It is said that the British Empire died after WW2, with the independence of India.
But maybe the American Empire under the "special relationship" (which to my knowledge was never actually defined!) was its successor. Some may belatedly suspect that it was the tail that was wagging the dog.
Whatever, today's bit of "not financial advice" from Bill Bonner is worth reading. What exactly is the Donald up to? My guess is that it's a safe bet that it isn't what everyone thinks it is ... otherwise he'd never get away with it.
